  The Village at Flat Rock is so expensive to live in. I lived there for 3 years. The land lease was $520 when I moved in and by the time I left it was $700 with no upgrades. Also for those buying now the lease is about $1000. Way too expensive.

  It would be helpful to give lease rates for lots. &nbsp;That 100% makes a difference in what is interesting to people.

  Tiny isn&apos;t needed so much as LOWER COSTS options are, which one would expect with a smaller home, but as someone mentioned below in these remarks the lot rents have become excessively expensive. It totally defeats the purpose of why one would choose a smaller home to begin with. It&apos;s asinine and greedy. What&apos;s the point in going tiny if the costs is just as high as a regular house? What started as an awesome idea and an affordable option for low income people and seniors has now become an Investors new money maker. The Village at Flat Rock is an excellent example of this. Someone came up with an excellent idea to help the lower income and then here come the greedy &quot;BIG Land Buyers&quot; to put you right back into the poor house. Then there are the tiny builders who jacked up square footage costs for tiny. I&apos;ve heard all kinds of ridiculous reasons for this. &quot;But it&apos;s because we build a quality home so it costs more per sq ft.&quot; That&apos;s totally not true and ridiculous. I was in real estate and building and it is total bologna! You are better off finding an acre of land and living off part of it and renting the other half to someone else in a tiny. Land leasing is no long a viable source for tiny home owners.

  The land lease is a nightmare. &nbsp;It is as bad as an HOA. &nbsp;Let the buyer beware in North Carolina!

  I love tiny home communities. Although, I wish a few were designed more like the tiny home communities in Sweden. But these communities are very important to retired solo adults that want privacy but not too far away from people that if something happens there&apos;s no help near by. &nbsp;There&apos;s a women&apos;s only tiny home community in (Texas?). I really think these communities are perfect for people that are introverts but want options if they want interactions.

  As a builder and an engineer, I will tell you never to purchase these tiny houses. The real value is half the price. This is probably the maximum you should pay. Second, the land lease is a day light robbery. I wish I could show you on paper what these establishments are doing
