  I just learned a new term, &quot;completion bias&quot;. I&apos;m a dentist and find myself doing this quite often when doing a root canal and discovering a crack or perforated canal near the end of a 1.5-2hr appt. I do my best to catch myself and be honest about it but it&apos;s hard telling the patient the tooth is a goner after they just endured a very uncomfortable root canal.

  Blaming &quot;geologic factors&quot; for their failure to choose a suitable site...WOW! <br>If the geology is bad, then choose another site...you can&apos;t blame the planet.<br>That&apos;s like building a highway up to a cliff-edge, then blaming the surface for dropping too fast.
