  I remember you waiting outside the record store at 8am waiting for them to open the day it came out. This album was everything when it came out. I carried that cd around with me everywhere I went, like I just needed it with me. Sadly I never felt that connected to Slipknots music after that. It’s one that has aged very well. I still play it to this day and it’s just as abrasive and disgusting as it was in 2001. Amazing album!!

  I remember going full berserk and hardcore headbanging to disasterpiece once so hard my neck went stiff and numb the next day and I couldn&apos;t rotate my head,great times

  Just recently, I’ve found solace within Slipknot. The art they’ve created has given me a safe way to vent a lot of nasty shit out. IOWA was visceral. It screamed at me, scared me, haunted me, but resonated with me incredibly. It’s one of my favorite albums I’ve ever listened to. Just a bit ago, I got the album on vinyl. One of the coolest fucking things I own. Slipknot and Sleep Token (I know, the contrast is crazy), I owe my life to both. The repair their art has done for me is extensive and immense. Purely beautiful creations, man.

  IOWA for me is different because I was in the military when 9/11 happened and that album was constantly in my stereo during that period of history. <br><br>Self-titled is my favorite.<br>Volume 3 is my guilty pleasure when I’m feeling depressed or nostalgic.

  i just admire the hell out of Iowa for the art i see it as, they put EVERYTHING into it, they channelled EVERYTHING. i think there&apos;s a saying along the lines of &quot;the best art comes from the deepest pain&quot; and i find this to be one of the best examples of that. its my favourite album and it fucking deserves to be.

  Ima be honest this album is like my therapy session whenever my mind is filled with rage and anger I listen to this album and it makes the rage/anger go away I swear once time goes by this album will forever be a staple of my teenage years
