  "A record SO VIOLENT, TOO brutal for the radio, TOO raw for the critics.." 13 Yr old me sitting quietly on the schoolbus every day enjoying the SHIT out of iowa 😂 played it more than any of my other CDs! Talkin metallica and justice for all, ride the lightning, and master of puppets, linkin park hybrid theory, KoRn follow the leader, take a look in the mirror, and issues, eminem the eminem show, and marshall mathers lp, 50 cent get rich or die trying, papa roach infest, alien ant farm, also slipknot the numbers album, system of a down, and alot more.. those were the days..

  huge Slipknot fan and I can confidently say, as someone that has maybe seen every single possible breakdown of this period of the band that you did an incredibly well done breakdown here. easily the best I've seen.

  Im 49 tired and old. Today while commuting to my work I decided to listen Iowa again. I forgot about this album. I just started hitting the dash of my car and head banging, man I felt young again it was amazing.  What an album this is.

  My brother in law has an uncle who worked with Slipknot in recording and said Cory at the time was the worst person he&apos;d ever recorded with because he was always absolutely abliterated on Jack every recording session and at best nothing got done and at worst he&apos;d destroy equipment and fight/argue with people. <br>In Cory&apos;s defense he was fresh out of a bad long-term relationship. <br>Gives a new perspective to the song &quot;Everything Ends&quot;.

  This album came out when i was a kid. 32 years old now. And when I listen to songs like metabolic I almost cry because his screams represent how i feel every second of everyday in my mind. I miss this erra.

  I got to see them at Ozzfest ‘04 during the Iowa days. 3 seconds into opener “Wait and Bleed” and the entire crowd disappeared and only a dust cloud remained they were going so f-ing hard. It was glorious 🎉❤
