  Killing the dog (from a narrative pov) was brilliant filmmaking. You instantly get behind what John does. He kills 77 people in this movie, they have to figure out a way for viewers to support that.

  The dog scene actually broke me. The way you see the slow camera pan showing that while injured, it used its last moments to crawl to Keanu to die next to him, turned me into a blubbering mess. I have an adorable black lab, and she is so emotive and beautiful, if anything happened to her, if anyone hurt her, tried to take her or caused any upset to her, I would leave nothing by charred earth and ash in my wake, she is so loyal that she would die for me, and I would kill for her.

  Here&apos;s a detail everyone missed. The guard at the airport that is in the truck, reading a book before he let&apos;s John go in and do his little car scene of slamming the breaks. He is reading a book called &quot;Shibumi&quot;. It&apos;s about an assassin who killed 3 men with a pencil. This movie has a lot of trivial items to look for! 😊

  The fact that Charon asked John, during the phone call after the Perkins attack, if he needed a dinner reservation for his “uninvited guest” strongly implies that John would have incurred no penalties for killing her in self-defense.

  Being a widower myself, I can relate to the loss of a soulmate. &nbsp;It’s not just the actual passing of one’s partner and the loss of their presence in daily life, but the fear of trying to take care of them leading to their passing. &nbsp;Trying everything you can to be there to mitigate their pain to prevent any suffering knowing that in the end no matter what you do, they will die. &nbsp;I spent many nights sleeping next to her bed to check her condition so if she needed any medication I would be there. &nbsp;When she stayed unconscious, I read her favorite books and letters from relatives at her bedside. When the hospice nurse told me my wife breathing was exhibiting the “death rattle”. &nbsp;I told my wife it was OK to let go. &nbsp;I would be OK and that she didn’t need to fight the pain for my sake. &nbsp;She passed later that night. &nbsp;My relief was she wasn’t in pain anymore. &nbsp;My love and her memory will forever be with me.

Here’s a few fun facts, #1 the dog at the end was scheduled to be put down, so John saved him. #2 I remember reading somewhere that the dog at the end is Keanu’s actual dog. #3 the area where John’s walking away with the dog at the end is also the same area his wife collapsed at.
