How come all these skin allergies were discovered at the same time that Hedge Funds bought out these iconic fragrances?

My mom loved Opium perfume, she passed last September. If I smell I'm out in public and smell this wonderful perfume, I immediately think of my mom and I will tear up. Of all the things my mother loved her perfume so I made sure to gather all of her perfume bottles and bring them home with me. Every perfume she wore had a special feeling she wanted to convey. When she was younger she always was stylishly dressed with the perfect perfume depending on her mood.

I fell in love with Bal à Versailles when I was a little girl. My grandmother used to wear it and had one of the little round bottles that I used to open and smell even long after the perfume was gone (still have the empty bottle). It became unavailable for a long time, but then we found it again, and while it may not smell exactly how the original one did, I still love it and wear it. It's a very distinctive musky, woodsy, incense type of smell, and I guess it's an aquired taste, but I love the fact that it's something that stands out from all the overly sweet/floral perfumes everyone seems to wear nowadays. 💛

I've just discovered your channel and consider myself the recipient of a wonderful gift. I've collected vintage/antique commercial perfume bottles for over 50 years. I'm in my late 70's now and need to find new homes for my gems. You have inspired my determination to embark on a wonderful journey. With love light and blessings...❤❤

I have a bottle of Shalimar my mother bought in 1949. I even have the receipt for it. It is in the iconic crystal bottle.

I discovered My Sin on my grandmas dressing table whilst still in highschool, wore it from that moment onwards, until it ceased to exist in the market. There will not be another perfume ever like it!

I have worn JOY perfume most of my life. It was always the most expensive. I'm eighty with only 1/2 a bottle left. Twenty five years ago my husband bought me several bottles when he ran across an out of the way seller. I wouldn't be surprised if he bought whatever was the remaining stock. When my grandchild snuggled into a blanket to keep warm, a big soft smile came over her face. My Son-In-Law replied, 'Yes it smells just like Grandma'... It was then I realized that the tiny drop of JOY I indulge myself, has been my signature.

I love the vintage Mitsouko extrait, but my all-time favourite is an old bottle of Guerlain's l'Heure Bleue, which dates from the late 1960s, bought unopened. It cost an arm and a leg ten years ago, was dark and almost syrupy, but it's truly the most sublime scent I've ever tasted - yes, tasted, because it's so powerful (though not overpowering) that it affects the taste buds just as it does your nose. At my advanced age I reckon I have just about enough of it to see me out. And yes, if I wear it every day the oakmoss does make me a tiny bit itchy, but it's worth it. Even if I run out I would never bother buying the new reformulated versions. I used to travel to France often for work back in the day, and always brought home perfume - YSL Champagne, Y (Y Grec), Chanel No 5, & No 19 were my favourites. If I'd known then what I know now, I might never have opened them! But I enjoyed them, and that's the most important thing.
