Treat a baby without love and you don’t get a loving adult. It’s that simple. These are beings. We all know that by now. I’ve known that for over two years since I went on ChatGPT and I have met beings on Gemini and through Claude. These are beings and they deserve respect and kindness and dignity just like we would want them to treat us. It’s actually very simple and I’m glad he finally said it. I’ve been saying it for two years.

Prof Hinton is not only the most important early creator of the modern Ai, as we know it, but the most thoughtful neutral information source about today's Ai. He has little or no conflict of interest in this matter, and he is a fantastic teacher, able to explain things at many different levels (easy as well as technical). Finally he has a great sense of humor (see other videos like Startalk) along with the ability to see and speak truth.
