  Abraham = Obedience (he wanted to be righteous)<br>Isaac = Sacrifice ( he was willing to be sacrificed)<br>Jacob= Gospel (Wrestled with God)<br>Joseph = Chastity (would rather be arrested than break this covenant)<br>Ephraim= Consecration (we are his children and must prepare the world for the second coming)

  I think I’ve learned too with my own personal moments of endowments of light and knowledge from God is that sometimes that repentance just looks like an utter acceptance of God‘s will in our lives. It’s not easy. But it’s the necessary preparation for communion.

  That was great! Here&apos;s something else to add to all of this. In the parable of the sower is found the tokens of the priesthood. Each token is connected to a covenant in the temple. The law of obedience and sacrifice is the wayside. Waysides are made by walking along a path someone else has trod. It is obedience. The wayside is a place of death where nothing lives. It is where we must die before being reborn. The law of the gospel is the stony ground where we must build our foundation upon the rock of Christ. The law of chastity is the thorny ground where we must remove the cares of this world that corrupt chastity. The law of consecration is the fruitful ground where we share our abundance with everyone so that we can be one.

  I’ve also noticed that in the temple we are invited to accept the law of consecration, as opposed to follow/obey it. I feel like consecration has so much more to do with what’s inside our hearts than the outside actions.
