  The developers working with Kojima actually spoke about Vamp’s development and they said that it was assumed he was joking until it slowly dawned on the team that Kojima was serious. This cycle of Kojima suggesting something that sounds like a joking remark only to be made canon continued all through the script.

  I am so happy you played Revengence first. Playing that game&apos;s legendary soundtrack during Raiden&apos;s less than badass moments made this the funniest MGS2 video I&apos;ve ever seen!

  So funny story...when I first got this game I didn&apos;t have a memory card, so I couldn&apos;t save the game. I started in the morning and played it all the way to completion...but at 4am in the morning, when the Colonel told me to turn the game console off...I froze. I said, out loud, &quot;B-But I can&apos;t! I Can&apos;t save! I&apos;ll lose everything!&quot; And then he said the line of &apos;you&apos;ve been playing for a long time&apos;, and I was like &quot;HOLY SHIT! HE KNOWS!!&quot; It was the most horrifying experience of my life and I will NEVER forget it!<br><br>Side note, I&apos;m stoked to see you play this entire series! Keep it up, dude!

  That plottwist was so wild when I played it for the first time, I was sixteen, English was not my first language, my brain struggled so hard to keep up. And then that speech that saw the future, back then I barely had internet at my house for a year. Downloading an mp3 took hours! <br>That shit went right over my head, but now? That shit is chilling how prescient it was.

  A.I. Colonel and Rose&apos;s speech to Raiden at the end before fighting Solidus, along with the background music, still makes my skin crawl. Raiden, after realizing he was a pawn by a literal system, has to kill the same man that was trying to put an end to it. Then Snake comes along and effectively says reality doesn&apos;t exist thanks to A.I., which isn&apos;t reassuring in the slightest. MGS2 is unique in that it&apos;s a masterpiece for all the wrong reasons. It shouldn&apos;t have been able to predict modern events so scarily accurately almost 25 years ago. There&apos;s hardly any hope provided; Kojima is essentially telling everybody that we&apos;re all screwed.
