  It's so werid whenever I come across these types of videos on tiktok and some people (espicallly Kpop fans) always try to excuse this behavior in the comments, but in this video you have 3 Koreans from South Korea bascially saying this is weird behavior

  As a bIack american woman myself, i will point out although getting stared at and being asked by tons of strangers in a foreign country to take pictures of me and with me is out of curiosity and awe, it can be a bit overwhelming and uncomfortable. Especially because it automatically brings back the idea of us being treated like human zoos and tourist attractions. Of which my ancestors were treated like that as they legit had human zoos back in the days of sIavery. It gives a feeling of that we are not humans, but objects to be gawked at and like items on display. Like i know there is no ill-intent when foreigners do those things, but it can feel like you don’t see me as human and as an animal in a zoo. Especially when you are a stranger who never asks for permission to touch me and you just walk up to touch my hair. For us bIack americans, we don’t see you touching our hair without our consent as a kind gesture. We see that as you treating us like animals in a petting zoo, overstepping personal boundaries and a violation. Like we don’t mind you touching our hair or explore it if you ask us for permission to touch it first.
