  I started as a business major, got my associates in business administration. Now I’m a year away from a bachelors in cybersecurity so this may be the best way to maximize my education! Thank you

  im learning this now and i love it, started out learning to code 2 years ago, learned python, then sql, then got a aws solutions architect cert, then i thought, damn, i dont think i wanna do any of this for a job, then somehow the algorithm introduced me to IT auditing and im just in love. About to take my cisa exam, and also learning deep grc work so i understand the controls deeply b4 auditing them. My IT skills ive learned hasnt been lost either as i can do IT auditing if i want which makes everything i learned so worth it in the end, only this time im just monitoring aws for risks then trying launch ec2s and vpc's lol, if you know u know. I love auditing. Gonna start applying for grc or It auditing roles in the next few weeks, wish me luck

  If anyone here comes from a more technical background like software engineering, devops, etc, it actually makes working in grc a lot easier. When you have multiple security controls that need to be setup and know how to work within the prod environment to set those up it makes life a lot easier rather than trying to have a sit down with engineers everytime you need to set something up. Being able to explain the technicals helps too.
