  I’m pretty new here and usually don’t comment, but I appreciate this video! I’m a gay Christian as well. I 100% agree that it’s important to view one’s relationship with God as separate from one’s connectedness (or lack thereof) to the church. I’m still looking for an accepting church community, but I’m happy that you were able to find one!😀

  I was at a church for about 6 years and then the pastor got on stage and said “legalizing gay marriage opened the floodgates for pedo….ia to be ok” I said to myself then out loud “Time to go”. I left and found a super amazing affirming church that I’m still at.

  Brandon i appreciate you being your authentic self and, you sharing this beautiful story. I had a tear in my eye because of this epecially when i grew up with a very religous family. People need to understand the difference between reglion and sprituallty. Stay beauitful please.

  Brandon, again, I was drawn to another one of your videos, and I like you, I am a gay Christian that calls myself a &quot;reformed catholic&quot;, as I was brought up in the Catholic church. What you say echoes what I think. These days I do not consider myself religious, i consider myself spiritual and therefore I have found peace. You so much deserve the best partner in life if you choose to have one. I wish you the best.

  Thank you for making this video. I was raised Church of God, so I know the trauma that can come with Christianity, as a gay man. God is good and He made us in His image!

  I had relationships with men in my twenties and very early thirties. Then I looked for something more in my life.<br>A work colleague told me about a new evangelical church which he had joined. I knew it was right for me so I joined.<br>As I lived 270 miles from my parents, the church was my only family. They were amazing and filled a big hole in my life.<br>But they would not accept homosexuality, so I kept quiet. Now I have moved back to my roots, and with the help of my accepting sister who has made me believe in myself again, I am so much more comfortable with my sexuality. I am with a more understanding church and I am about to go on my first Pride march at 76!

  Hey &nbsp;Buddy, Alex here. I’m so glad for you, &nbsp;no wonder I can feel your loving spirit? Like you, I grew up in the church, except I’m Methodist a fourth generation which is so important to my large family. I’m thankful for finding a very loving church. If you ever need anything, anything at all, the United Methodist Church in Hollywood, the one made popular by having the large red ribbon on its tall steeple. It is perhaps one of the most welcoming churches I’ve visited. As a denomination it is usually conservative, however a few short years ago, the church separated into two bodies. Many felt it was necessary in welcoming and serving all people. So I continue attending the main body of the church. It’s so nice to see so many single Christians in church, along with the gay couples, and family members. Being Christian is very important to me, my personal relationship with Christ is my saving Grace. It took me most of my twenties to finally understand who and why I’m a gay man? I was always so hard on myself with the endless guilt, especially when I would meet up with another gay man? Since I don’t live the typical gay life, I’m still single, but I’ve come to terms that I very well may remain alone for the rest of my life? I have many solid friends, but what they don’t understand is the longing for a companion who I can relate with. You may be familiar with Zack and Alister Patton-Garcia, the popular YouTube gay couple? I like their relationship, it’s very natural, loving between two masculine men; who appear to live a very normal life. I’m happy for them, and will always wish them the best. I was glad when I saw your topic for this vlog. Just thought I would share with you, we’re not alone out here. Take care, stay safe and keep watch over your loving Mama. ❤ Alex from LA 💙🙏🏼
