    If you don&apos;t have one yet, I think that a thermal imaging cam of some sort would be a great addition to your troubleshooting efforts. You can give a unit a short power up, depower it, and see what may be in the path of, or drawing excessive current, before it becomes a chain reaction of damaged components.

    The smoking area almost looked like it could have been near power switch, as you stated. What is under the black electrical tape and wire next to that switch? Grey wire connecting to a set of other wires. You pushed near that when giving it a temperature check <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfAwtfCV8aQ&amp;t=853">14:13</a> and I wonder if that squeezed something back together again?
