  Honestly, I wish we've got a new game or Most Wanted/Carbon sequel where Razor and Darius teamed up with another antagonist and Cross to take us the player down for revenge, so yeah

  here is what i believe happened to darius: we see that in need for speed payback the city has a very similar aesthetic to silverton in palmont; we see casino's, billionaires, city planning, and a form of underground mafia that is nearly impossible to fathom. it is clear darius has an enourmous amount of money and influence. darius and his crew dont just roll up in hypercars, instead they are often seen driving experimental concept cars, cars that are unobtainable to even the most powerful figures in the real world. yet curiously darius seems to get his hands on them quite easily. we see that the collector has a similar deal going for him, expensive cars and powerful people being moved around as pawns. many people believe darius to be the collector but i dont think that is necessarily true. the collector has 24k gold plated hypercars yet darius has a whole other level of unobtanium: his collection of unreleased and experimental concept cars. the collector and darius are not voiced by the same person, this is of importance because cross also returns in payback's story with the same name and voice he has always had. at the end of payback it becomes clear that the collector is just a pawn, that he has people above him in the hierarchy. and darius is one who likes to pull the strings. darius would never just be a pawn, he is always the one who is in control. i believe darius to be the off-screen superior to the collector who is never seen or mentioned. he might have something to do with project arkwright at the end of payback. the whole story kind of fits his narrative: street races being rigged for huge amounts of cash, powerful people being dropped as soon as they stop proving useful. the collector is "the new darius" of silverrock and darius seems to be the one who is funding him. or at least that is what i believe to be true

  I think the Jaguar XK was David's car who is one of Darius' underlings. Of all his subordinates, only David is referred to by name so it stands to reason that he sticks with Darius out of loyalty even in defeat. As you said, Darius has the connections and skills to make it big in another place and David can still benefit from being with Darius who has a knack for leadership.

  Put them all together, Darius was already wanted for being head of a smuggling ring, taking part in the death of another street racer made the investigation go smoother so he was caught just before attempting to leave the city, if you know you know

  I always thought it was a red Supra since the story between you begins with one ie the one you race and then leave the city in with Darius saying its his car.<br><br>So him leaving in one would be symbolic.

  But what about the lore in NFS No Limits. He appears in no limits, being a member of a crew (Royals I think, controlled by marcus), and also when he gets beaten again as a leader of Blood Fangs. Unless if it is not canon.<br><br>(EDIT) Thanks for clarifying that in No Limits is not the Darius from Carbon.

  You should make a video on potential idea for the story of the next game. Imagine we see the protagonist from MW / Carbon actually return one last time to take down Razor and get the M3 back once and for all. <br><br>I think they could definitely cook something up to bring the story full circle one last time. Razor has access to hacking as we’ve seen in lockdown mode, so it’s not out of question he could locate the whereabouts of the MW / Carbon protagonist to try to get revenge for everything that’s happened back in Most Wanted. <br><br>Assuming the protagonist is still with Nikki and has a family with her, he’d need a reason to come back into the spotlight and become Most Wanted again. Imagine Razor somehow, someway, kidnaps the Protagonists family and the plot of the game is to become the most wanted street racer, save your family, and end the rivalry over 20 years later, and of course bring the M3 GTR back to the rightful owner, the protagonist. Imagine cross with the C8 ZR1 or ZR1X bro 👀
