The Ty Cobb card was a good representation of me after 40 years at my job before I retired last year.

Gary Vee pumping cards and cards going up overnight sounds awfully familiar…We say collectors are more sophisticated now, but are we sure they’re not just a new batch of entrants who have more money and temporarily feel like geniuses….until they don’t?

You can't believe everything in textbooks!! That's like believing everything said by the news.

We’ll see how long that “buy this weekend/sell next “ thing works out! At some point, dealers/flippers will be left holding a massive bag

The new scam is the bronze sticker. Basically states your card is graded accurately and we would grade it the same. People are selling those cards for more money because people think it means something positive. 😂

I enjoyed the John & Rick live-stream yesterday afternoon - and especially the chat comments discussing our opinions on stickers. Just about everyone came out strongly against the MBA stickers and the shady guys behind the company.

The sticker game is total madness and taking advantage of the inexperienced, unconfident and/or lazy. It’s a total racket. Your example is one of many showing why it’s completely ridiculous.

This eye appeal sticker movement reminds me of the same movement you get after the first cup of coffee 😂

“Collector Flip” is such a great term, Mike

Maybe when they say eye appeal they mean that the eye appeal is bedazzling the plastic holder.

Reminder: $12k on eBay is really $10,200 (after FVF). So if I’m David, maybe he’s just looking to move it privately (using eBay offers as leverage)
