  for old bed linens, towels, and blankets - your local animal shelters would love to take them off your hands to use as bedding for the dogs and cats

  Now that plastic bags are not available anymore, I'm glad I kept so many, I use them to put my shoes in for Travel, or when I donate stuff that needs a cover, or a thousand other things. I bring plastic bags home from other counties even.

  I use a vase to hold my son’s handkerchiefs, yes I don’t buy tissues anymore. In the same vein, I keep a vase under the sink for my kitchen rags cuz I do not buy paper towels anymore either.

  I only purchase candles when I like the vessel that the candle wax has been poured into. I’ll use the candle bowl around the house as decorative dishes. For candy or keys.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOsKdOmRmJs&amp;t=328">5:28</a> When it comes to leather shoes: &quot;breaking in&quot; doesn&apos;t necessarily mean wearing them until they are comfortable. It means softening the leather with leather conditioner and manually massaging the shoes. When I started doing that I&apos;ve been able to wear dr martens and other leather shoes with zero issues straight from the box.

  Lots of very good points here and I always come back to your channel when I need motivation for a declutter (which we’re doing over the summer holidays!)<br><br>I would suggest that people carefully think before throwing away physical media. Digital isn’t guaranteed to always be there, as a few companies have shown recently

  Offer your unused candles to campers who can make fire stayers from old candle wax and coffee grounds or sawdust from woodworkers.

  You are so right about shoes being comfortable from the get-to. &nbsp;I&apos;ve had pairs that I thought I could break in or I would put mole skin where they would give me blisters. &nbsp;In the end I always regret keeping them.
