  Hey there, AZ80 person that jumped to AZ100 here. You 100% on the dot with technics review. To add to the con list is that when you use a custom preset other than Dynamic on the technics app, snare drums and hi-hats go from a "tic-tic to a tac-tac sound". So it completely modifies the sound of the original sound.

  Had the AZ100 and Pi8 together and I opted to keep the Pi8. &nbsp;That small margin in sound quality was all it took for me to keep them.

  Thanks for the vid. Swayed me towards the AZ100. I previously had bose and sony and both were great on sound but terrible through mic calls in loud/windy areas...i used to have people not be able to stay on the call with me. <br>Amazing to see Bose still hasnt addressed the bad mic on calls.<br><br>AZ100 arriving today

  Flossy clearly said PI8 volume almost too much… My experience with AZ80 was the volume scale or its lack there of… it’s not about blasting your ears but the scale flexibility. In fact just returned M4 for that lack of loudness scale. I have still my Status 3ANC, OnePlus Buds 3 which not only sound as good as M4 and likely AZ100 but about 20% more loudness at similar volume scale! btw, PerL Pro are the loudest of the bunch I’ve owned so far

  The only reason you think the PI8’s sound better is because of how they overly emphasize the treble. It’s noticeable visually on a graph. It’s why their treble sounds like plastic and too harsh. Many earbuds do this to simulate “better detail.” Technics are natural sound, albeit a little too bass boosted.

  I tried some EQ settings I found here and elsewhere, and here’s what sounds best to my ears: 0, 0, +2, +5, 5, +5, +3, +3<br><br>I tested using acoustic instrumentation, vocals heavy and EDM. <br><br>I use a HIFIMAN HD1000SE connected to a Schiit Jotunheim 2 and Bifrost 2/64 at my computer, FWIW.

  Thank you for the comparison. Between these two i would go with the one that fits me the best. After that it&apos;s sound quality. Any chance of reviewing the JBL Tour Pro3? I know they&apos;re expensive but it&apos;s JBLs first dual driver setup. 💯🙏🇺🇸

  I came to this video EXPECTING to get the Pi8&apos;s, but after this review, and my personal preference for what I&apos;ll be using them for, the AZ100 absolutely take the win. I&apos;ll be ordering them now!
