  I'm not afraid of Doom's buildup. I'm scared of the HEROES' buildup. There's basically nothing.

  I still think people can complain. Before Infinity War we knew stuff about him. We knew he had a big army, we knew he has two daughters, we knew he was ruthless enough to replace Nebula's body with cybernetic components too. There was build up but it was more subtle.

  Thanos had anticipation. Doom isn't. Small problem if he only being introduced. Giant problem if he dies.

  I think doom doesn’t need a build up because that’s the point he’s been in the background watching and dealing with everything and he came just in time

  I think Thanos’ buildup was more than just a few scenes in the movies but it was also from fans speculating and discussing him and what could happen. It also came from the comic fans educating the casual movie fans leading to them researching and digging on their own. This was the real build up.

  The point isn&apos;t really that we had Thanos character development before Infinity War. It&apos;s that they had any build-up at all. By the time of Infinity War, Thanos as the main villain felt like pay-off. Other than a post-credits scene in Fantastic Four, Doom&apos;s going to have this one film to establish anything about him at all.
