Pro Vocal Coach Reacts to REN x Chris Webby - 'Baggage' + 'Down the Road'

  1st thing &quot;Baggage&quot; was a Chris Webby song partially written and thematically constructed by Chris Webby. After Webby was introduced to Ren&apos;s music by his girlfriend, Webby thought he&apos;d send the finished section of the song to Ren &amp; see if Ren would be interested in a feature, then Chris would see what Ren could add to it. The second half of the song was co-produced/developed by Ren in Ren&apos;s UK studio. Ren added a verse &amp; a bridge for himself to rap &amp; sing, as well as adding his own vocals harmonizing with Webby in the chorus &amp; adding that high screaming note at the end. <br><br>Chris was blown away &amp; while he &amp; Ren were on the phone discussing music and this song, Ren also made clear that if Webby was thinking of shooting a music video then he&apos;d be more that willing to fly to Connecticut &amp; spend a few day&apos;s on the shoot. Webby and his friend wrote and arranged everything for the video &amp; when Ren flew in for the shoot, the two of them hit it off BIG TIME. In the few day&apos;s that Ren was in town the 2 of them wrote a couple of songs together in Webby&apos;s studio. &nbsp;Their combined creativity &amp; musical synergy was undeniable, so they made plans to get together later in the year for a few weeks and create a project. <br><br>Well that project turned into a whole bunch of music to say the least. &nbsp;Their plans of a 4 or 6 track EP turned into a 15 track LP in no time. Hence a group name was born (Inpatient) and their album &quot;Asylum&quot; became a reality... as they say the rest is history. ❤✌

  Purgatory Pub, if you notice everyone has an &apos;injury&apos;, like the bartender&apos;s skull, the guy&apos;s slit throat, etc. They&apos;re all waiting to see which way they&apos;re head if/when they die. It&apos;s really powerful video.

  To me the meaning is that in purgatory, when you are all dead, nothing more to prove. People are people. Words used to divide us all into &nbsp;these little labeled boxs &nbsp;quickly dissappear when the &nbsp;nefarious motivations to maintain them vanish.<br>❤

  &quot;Losing It&quot; is totally fun. Instigator and Neurodivergent with the Inpatient project are fun, though they do have serious themes. That&apos;s a start, anyway.

  I think Ren&apos;s place of &apos;Joy&apos; is in his performances with the Big Push. They are doing a 5 date tour in the UK at the moment (weekly gigs spaced for Ren&apos;s health which is still a major concern after some awful setbacks in the last 18 months) The clips dropped by fans on YouTube and BTS show the amazingly beautiful time they are having ❤ It&apos;s wonderful to see. Really enjoyed watching these two with you. Can you clarify the twitch time? Trying to figure it out for here in the UK. Thanks x
