We were in Ian's eye wall for nearly 8 hours straight. THE most terrifying memory of my life, would never want to go through that again. Even now we are still trying to build back from Ian's damage.

I have lived in Florida since 1959, the WORST hurricane I ever went through was DONNA IN 1960!

For those of us who survived Michael, it was catastrophic. Trust me. Winds did NOT die down when they hit land. Some people are still cleaning up almost seven years later.

The worst hurricane season ever for Florida was in 2004 when Charley, Jeanne and Frances hit hitting Florida back to back

I actually live close by a mass grave/memorial site for the ones perished in the 1928 Okeechobee here in West Palm.. Everytime I pass by it, I always say a small prayer for their souls to be at peace..
