Uncured hot dogs don't have sodium nitrate or nitrite, but most stores only sell the cured ones. You say several of the 'good' brands don't have added flavoring, but they have hydrolyzed corn protein which is strictly a flavor enhancer and almost identical to MSG on a molecular level. Then to top it off, you highly recommend Boarshead brand which had a huge hot dog recall of 7 million pounds of meat in 2024 due to Listeria, a deadly bacteria which caused 61 hospitalizations and 10 deaths. The source was their Jarratt facility that was so unsanitary that they had to shut down the plant permanently as it was beyond cleaning.

I don't eat hotdogs, but most people that I know who do seem to love the Kirkland brand🤷🏽♂️

I know Aldi is a smaller but growing chain of stores -but I'd like to see some comparisons of them thrown in every once in awhile ;)

Number one thing to look at is any product that has corn syrup in it, put it back. Corn syrup is garbage. They use it because it is half as much money as sugar.
