I’ve had many Rega speakers. I started with the original ela’s then alyas and then the rs3. All were fantastic but I’ve recently switched to the neat acoustic mystique classic. They have a amt tweeter which is just fantastic.

 Viva Joey!

I have had RS1's for over a decade now. I absolutely adore them and their sonic signature. Paired up with Rega's Elex-R amp, with Duet speaker cable and a Couple 2 interconnect into an Oppo 105 universal player. Sounds 👍.

Thank you very much for your thoughts. I have Kytes and RX3’s here, they are my favourites out of literally dozens of speakers I’ve owned over the years, most of which cost considerably more. Naturally, I’m curious to try the Aya’s

Would love to hear you reflecting on the elex mk4 or the small but mighty fono mm 😇
also I found particularly telling that you talked again about the nd7! It means that in the long term, it made a very good impression on you, and not just wow effect of something new :)

How would you compare the old kytes and the new ones? Loving my pair of the old ones but toying with idea of upgrading to the new ones…

Thanks for this informative episode! I wonder if you have compared the Aya to any other non-Rega speakers with PRAT...maybe vintage Linn or something else, for contrast?

I’ve just got my R3’s back from my Dad after years of him using them. I plugged them in for a bit of fun and wow. I forgot how fun and musical they are. I’d previously had them on the end of a Cyrus amplifier and found them a bit lean. Now on the end of my Exposure 3510 I think they’re amazing actually. I think I prefer them to my PMC Prodigy 1’s. Have you heard the original R3’s?
