Destin. Congratulations. I'm a 40 year veteran TV producer and you have nailed a very tricky Q & A and a wonderful discussion piece. This is an example of asking the correct questions and treating your guests so fairly. What a wonderful piece. You and your interviewees are to be congratulated on a difficult subject, explained fairly easily and with care and humour. What a splendid video presentation. My greatest compliments to you and your crew and your interview subjects from Puget. WELL DONE.

I'm almost 80 years old and I can't get enough of your Smarter Every Day videos. I especially love your enthusiasm for learning and for creating the energy and desire for others to learn. Keep it up. You are doing good things for a lot of people.

It's such a weird feeling as an experienced computer tech watching this video (in a good way) that everything they say, is right. They don't bend the truth, their marketing is basically non-existent. This is THE WAY to tailor a PC to the customers'needs. This is how it SHOULD BE done. That's professional quality control. I'm so glad, that after many "arguments" with customers on why did I do it this way or that way, or why I recommend choosing this or that specific component is also beeing confirmed by others in the industry. I'm so glad that this video is out there, so people can see behind the scenes of computer systems engineering.
Thank you Smarter Every Day for constantly delivering us this awesome content. And also thank you Puget Systems for doing what you do. Their guides and tests, and publications are really accurate.

BTW, Advection is the transport of thermal energy (or material) by the bulk flow of a fluid. Convection is the specific case when advection occurs naturally, due to a density difference, which is in turn caused by a temperature difference. Since most desktop computers make use of a fan to force the air to move, they are not primarily cooled via convection. Less common, silent, fanless machines are typically cooled via convection and radiative cooling.

To be fair, I worked for a company a while back that was also 100% focused on what the intended use would be as opposed to just slapping expensive hardware together. We'd have direct conversations with the clients and build them what they needed. However, I am comfortable in saying that Puget is probably a lot more honorable of a company and their entire setup looks about as prestigious as possible.

I love Don, the old scientist dude. It's rare to see someone so genuinely happy in their work and in life.
That dude's loving life, and it was contagious watching him.
