  This is a pretty minor detail, but the SMG has a collapsible stock, not a folding stock. A folding stock folds either underneath or to the side whereas a collapsible stock is adjustable in length. The best comparison functionally is probably those old lightsaber toys.

  The ODST SMG is a jack of all trades, except against buggers. That thing tears them up and is a life saver on harder difficulties. Still, I'd be lying if I were to say that aesthetics weren't the main reason I hold on to it.

  Ever since ODST, I&apos;ve always thought that the SMG should always have been Supressed. that way it creates and fills a new role in the sandbox. A stealth weapon.

  The sound dampener in Halo 5 silences and hides your position on the radar but it ALSO increases your effective range. It&apos;s basically the long barrel and silencer in one, which is why it&apos;s a higher level req compared to the silencer and long barrel. Really good for stealth in late game when you need range in warzone.

  I honestly like the H5 Smg, it is so rich with details and packs some punch. Would be unbeatable if dual wielded.

  one niche I feel the odst smg excels at is against drones as its one of few options for reliable hitscan(ish) weapons that can take care of such agile enemies<br><br>the carbine isn&apos;t always available, the AR lacks the same precision and firerate to reliably hit, and the pistols damage is so low you have to go for headshots, which is really hard on drones<br><br>so naturally, the smg is a great counter and has saved me many a bugger-filled firefight round

  We all know that tune that LNG starts playing when the video is coming to an end. <br>Life hack: Any time you&apos;re at a social gathering that you are ready to leave, just start playing that song out loud and no one will question you leaving or try to pressure you into staying a little bit longer.
