I can never get over the teachers paying for their own supplies. They are employees, not contractors.

Teachers have a huge impact on kids lives. I cannot understand why they aren’t paid more

She’s clearly doing it because she is passionate about it. It’s amazing that people like her work in industries like this (also healthcare), because without them we wouldn’t have a functioning society. It’s a shame we don’t value these people more and their pay should reflect their actual contribution to our lives. Instead, it’s celebrities sportspeople or bankers who are paid millions.. shame.

A teacher as dedicated as her should be making at least $100K a year nationwide.

Finally a relatable, real person, with a real job. Not some "content creator" living in Asia.

Seriously god bless people like her who choose to become a teacher in this country. Teachers should be paid waaay more than they are!

Maddie and husband are some of the most important people who keep US running. Kids are lucky to have you. They are underpaid because supply/demand in job market is not at reasonable balance. We should fix that!

Teaching is stressful and we have to cope. I been there with maxing out cards, overeating sugary processed foods, buying things for students. We don’t talk about that enough.

Her attitude and heart are so refreshing.  She’s a success no matter what she puts her mind to.

I was about to say, $63,000 as a FIRST GRADE teacher? But TikTok being a side-hustle bringing her to that makes more sense.
