My number 1 spending tip for amazon is to read all the 1 star reviews on anything you want to buy.  I can talk myself out of anything that way.

One week a month we do a no-spend-on-groceries challenge, which forces us to get creative with stuff we already have on hand.

my shower was dripping, I saved water for plants and dog bowls until it was fixed. I'm not letting money go down the drain.

My favorite trick is to calculate the number of hours it would take me to pay for something I want but don't need. This trick served me well when I was a broke minimum wage worker and now that I am retired I have no desire for anything but the basics and a few inexpensive extras here and there

I hate to break it to you, man, but if I became a millionaire today, the first thing Im going to do is go through the grocery store WITHOUT a list 😂

Not using tissues is actually a huge win for severe allergy families. I spent $30 on bulk washclothes in a color different than any of our other clothes.  We had been spending $400- $500 a year on freakin tissues. Our reusable tissues just get thrown in the washer instead of the trash. If you think that is nasty than just consider your underwear goes in the wash and you have no issue touching and reusing that.  When you sneeze you get those same germs all over you and everyone else yet you wash your clothes and wear them again. A whole lot of being wasteful is mindset.

I have cooked multiple dishes at once.  If you’re organized it’s really no big deal.  I’ll have chili in the slow cooker, chicken in the oven and soup on the stove all going at once.

32 Small Habit Tip. I shaved my head (it was time to do it anyways). After I shave my head once a month, I transfer $20 into my HYSA. I also transfer $5 as a tip to myself. Thank you come again.

I can put anything I want in my Amazon shopping cart. But checkout is only on payday. On average, I throw half the stuff out of my shopping cart.
