  I met a rich man once. He used to run a small inn in Polish mountains (Zakopane) and made good omellets. I asked him if he knew about any real estate to be bought near his guest house. He said "no, sorry, I own those 50 acres around my house but I don't want to sell it, I don't need money, I make 3000 dollars a month running the inn and it's more than enough". You know, 50 acres in Zakopane is worth like 50 million dollars or more. And this guy got up at 5 am every day to make breakfast for his guests and didn't even spend those 3000 dollars he made... This was probably the man with the highest net worth I personally made friends with :).

  I’ve seen people chase status symbols thinking it makes them look successful, but for me real wealth was always about financial stability and peace of mind — not flashy stuff. This video hits some points, but being ‘fake rich’ isn’t just about the things you buy, it’s often deeper than that.

  <b>We paid off our last credit card on New Year&apos;s Eve so we&apos;re into 2026 credit card free! This year we plan to pay off our truck, which is our last debt (other than our mortgage) and then we are never going back!!</b>

  About the cars. I have a mentor who is quite wealthy but quiet. He took me around in his neighborhood and said &quot;sure there may be a Porsche here and there they earned it&quot; but most people were driving old jeeps, Tahoe&apos;s , 4runners, Honda&apos;s all used very few new. He said &quot;that&apos;s the sign of wealth, they don&apos;t want to be noticed&quot;

  I would flip the 50/30/20 to 50/20/30 where you should be saving/investing 30% of your income if possible. It&apos;s a huge difference and feels so much better.

  hit my financial milestones without waiting for any government support. It&apos;s not luck it&apos;s intentional moves. While most are busy complaining, some of us are quietly building.
