  We’ve been to all 7 continents and 61 countries. We are now in our 70’s and cruise to relax. We have our 20th trip booked with Viking. The whole Viking experience seems to have been designed around what we want.

  We started cruising with Viking at age 51, now we&apos;re 58 and have 7 cruises with them, 3 river and 4 ocean, our 8th is an expedition this February to Antarctica...even smaller ship. We have always been nearly the youngest on all the cruises, but like you I hardly notice, everyone seems to be kindred spirits. &nbsp;I love how they do everything, no upselling at all and very quiet and relaxing ships. Pretty sure if I were to start my own cruise line it would look a lot like Viking.

  You didnt mention my favorite things: High tea in Wintergarten and retractable roof on pool deck and the promenade for exercise!!

  After six years on an aircraft carrier, everything was better in comparison. My wife and I enjoy the Viking model quite well. We control the activity level. The excursions are the highlight, followed closely by quite meals together.

  Loved Viking Vesta in the Mediterranean for 3 weeks. 3 Viking river ships in Europe and France not so much. River just didn’t have it together over 3 different ships. Food, Ships and tours awesome. Meeting times and meeting places different from Card to Viking Daily to Tour desk. Service during talks on all 3 ships so nonexistent I ended up serving guests myself. Ocean excelled in all areas.

  I could never get my husband to cruise with me on Royal or NCL so for 15 years I sailed solo or with other family. Then I convinced him to try a Panama Canal cruise and I knew if I wanted him to like cruising I needed to pick the right line for him. So I booked &nbsp;Viking Ocean and he loved it. I thought it was a bit dull but very relaxing. I found myself wandering around alone on an empty ship at 10 pm. I have since gotten him on HAL and Royal. Doubt I will ever get him back on Royal but he let me book another HAL cruise as long as I also booked another Viking.
