  I was age 13 when i saw this final and ive been a Borg fan ever since. I'm now 61 and still love this. 76 was a very hot summer 😅

  I was a  massive Nastase fan at this time having cried when he lost to Stan Smith in 72....this was my first sighting of Borg and I was captivated....happy happy memories from my mid teens...thank you for posting this much appreciated!

  Tiny headed wood rackets on beat-up grass. Unbelievably difficult. Every point was a race to the net.

  what a difference, the beauty and the beast, Nastase backhands, it's like watching a Nureyev performance. Borg said in swedish television ( no AI fake ) that he didn't have those shots that Nastase or Mc Enroe had

  Ilie Nastase had won 7/10 out of 10 times they'd played so he was pretty confident and had a 4-0 lead in the first set .. then something changed.. Nastase said Borg played like an 'Alien' 👽. Ice Borg had arrived.
