  The whole thing with The Lightreaper is while yes his quest is technically pointless and the lamp bearer can just come back from death over and over, the point is no one is unbreakable. <br><br>He’s literally created by Adyr to do one task and that’s hunt down lamp bearers over and over until they give up. Being killed in brutal ways would eventually break someone and I think it’s what Paladin Isaac basically did at the beginning cutscene. He gave up, threw his lamp away and left it in the hands of Orius to find someone stronger.

  It’s insane how much better the game has gotten since it came out. Some fights like the Unbroken Promise were completely overhauled, putting them from D Tier into S-Tier. Although it’s just as insane how they fumbled the Adyr fight. Personally I always liked the king the most. Great game.

  I love this game and so excited that you’re making videos on it. Please do an area ranking! Some of my favorite level designs in all of souls like games, especially the forsaken fen. I loved how we could explore under the swamp water in umbral. I wish fromsoft swamps had this feature

  I love how Judge Cleric switches her weapon focus between phases. In phase 1, she uses her longsword as her primary weapon, mixing in the occasional strike with her standard to catch you off guard. In phase 2, she uses that war standard more often, with her sword strikes coming out less frequently and more quickly to throw you off. It’s a nice touch

  I had the complete opposite experience with Sundred Monarch and he was one of my favorite boss fights and the one that killed me the most. Almost every other boss was one and done but it took me 5 or so attempts on this behemoth. His health pool seemed massive to me and I was one shot several times. One of my favorite things with this boss is he has a similar mechanic to Sif from DS1 or Demon King from DS3; when he reaches low health he’ll basically give up and crawl over to the statue of his wife. Great list! Glad you got a chance to play this game since it has improved so much since release

  Honestly I was such a big fan of this game since release I thought enemy placemat was rough but one of my favorite soulslikes

  I love this game. I feel like it got really overshadowed by Lies of P, which was unfortunate. It has some great design and combat! And some absolutely amazing bosses. My personal favorite is probably Judge Cleric, Unbroken Promise…or maybe the Lightreaper. But I also love Pieta and Elliane…i also really love the Iron Wayfarer cause it’s so cool they brought Harkyn back!

  I appreciated the touch of lore for each of the entries. I played the game years ago when it came out so I had forgotten the little info that I had known.

  That’s about how I felt fighting most of the bosses. And also the longer you play the more things you notice that are just really off putting. Like the NPC quests that upon progression drive most characters in the game into pain and agony but the moment you open their shop they’re instantly like: “oh hello kind sir what a lovely day“.<br>And completely forget about their dead child.
