I clicked because the thumbnail showed a stainless-steel pan with burnt-on grease on the outside.  I've never found a method to get rid of that. Lo and behold, the video is about removing normal grease from the inside of cast iron.

A really useful video! I especially liked the simple, practical tips for dealing with different types of greasy pans. The cast iron method was a great reminder of old-school kitchen wisdom

I use the kosher salt method every time I cook with my beloved cast iron. It never lets me down.

At a campsite, we witnessed some Brazilian tourists clean a pan using sand and a rag. It was black inside and out and in no time at all it was shining clean with her method. I was blown away, it looked new again!

I grew up and still live in Trinidad.  My grandmother or mother would send me downstairs for either ashes or red sand and some coconut Fibre, which was used to scrub the pots.

I clicked because I have a cast iron pan. I rarely use it because I'm always afraid I will wreck it if I use the wrong stuff to clean it. Thank you very much for sharing.

Thank you🙏 for sharing this pure and simple truth. I learn that the baking soda and vinegar along with salt and also add soap, all mix together does wonderful works with my pots and pans, even my stove top. They left my pots sparkling clean and shiny. Am watching from Jamaica🇯🇲 thank you🙏 for sharing. The old time way of fixing stuff like these are always the BEST.
