About 18 years ago, a buddy of mine said "Man, there's this song I love but I don't know who it's by. It's a bunch of dudes in a container that's slowly filling with black water". For weeks he tried to find out what it was, but then one day he was over at my house and I showed him this cool riff I learned on the guitar from a band I loved . I can still remember the look of excitement on his face when he shouted "THAT'S THE SONG THAT'S THE SONG!" I'd never seen the music video so it was just an amazing coincidence. I haven't seen that guy since 2007 but I still think of him every time I hear this song :)

I love The Strokes. I am Japanese and I can not understand the content of English songs. But melodies and singing make me feel most happy.
