  You guys! Learning from your videos is so incredibly helpful! I’ve been struggling with my awning window install, specially because of the backer. And I like the block idea. Are all of the blocks shaved differently based on the curvature?

  The most overlooked thing on camper van builds is the lack of engineering put toward longevity in a cargo van. The underside has no rust protection beyond a dip. All badges and plastics are added onto woefully thin paints. This chips the thin paint, in a year you have rust stains running down the paint. You should take a brand-new cargo van, do a full underbody spray with a premium product. Cut all your holes in the skin of the van. Then sand the entire thing down and paint it correctly with quality paint. You are taking a cargo van that was designed to be disposed of within 5 years and putting a major investment into it. Honestly this is the most overlooked thing on campervan builds. Do you want 10 years rust free in a van you are proud of? Well pick a color you love that Ford does not offer. Hell, two tone it with a dark bottom and a white top for heat reflection. Add a pinstripe. A good body shop can do this in a week for 8k or so. Depending on paint costs, some colors are more costly.

  Hi. How come you don’t use pir / cellotex board in the large areas. Can understand the recycled bottles in the tight areas and small gaps. Thanks.

  What do you think about the high roof?  That will be a bit more planning, CNC work to make the things fit Can you still mount solar panels on top? Did it go all the way to the cab ?

  Hi, good channel and nice looking workshop. Question, if you build a van with a bulkhead in do you put less sound proofing in to save weight, as when driving owners are isolated from the sound, or do you think the same amount is required?
