  I&apos;ve done the same with my floor, van was perfect hight for me to stand up in so no room for any floor stuff, did minus 5 in the UK this winter, no heater yet!! Wouldn&apos;t want to many nights like that but I was an 80s child and brought up with no central heating, makes you stronger

  Best advice I’ve heard so far. <br>I’ve recently built out a van into a coffee truck and decided to not insulate the walls or floor. No vapour barrier, no sound deadening- all the stuff you mentioned, and it turned out great. Sure , it’s a bit noisier when I’m driving but I’m only driving to the gig- once I’m set up, it makes no difference at all. Air flow is good. I don’t need a heater as I’ve got coffee machines and water heaters warming up ambient. If it’s so cold that I need heat I’ve got a small space heater. Never used it.

  Refreshing view on van conversions. I agree with the Victron. I see a lot of people using it because it&apos;s &quot; The best &quot; but it really depends on your requirements. I like to insulate the floor of vans with 25mm battens so I can also run pipes and cables under the floor. Agree that vapour barrier and sound deadening are a waste of money and weight. Nice idea with the shower.

  Please keep the videos coming. I’m looking at doing a camper van conversion next year and it’s gonna take me that long to do the research and your videos are very different and it’s definitely give me a lot of food for four. Absolutely love the conversion your inspiration to us all

  This video was exactly what I needed been watching van videos for years! Bought a sprinter 2019 started insulating it and quickly became overwhelmed with what people are putting in their builds so thank you very much for being honest!! Simplicity is the way forward from here on out cheers bud ❤
