  Something also interesting about comparing Atsu and Jin's stories is that...their development journey's are flipped. Jin goes from honorable Samurai to the Ghost...meanwhile Atsu goes from being the Onryo to becoming human. Their journey's are opposite to one another

  At its core, Ghost of Yotei’s vengeance plot is more than “Vengeance bad.” <br><br>The game makes it clear: The Yotei Six, no matter how sympathetic their origins are, are cruel individuals. What they did to Atsu’s family, they do to the rest of the people of Ezo. They need to be taken down. <br><br>The question the game poses, however: Even if your vengeance is justified, and it becomes your singular life’s purpose, can you find a purpose beyond that? <br><br>In the end, Atsu’s story is about her regaining her humanity. I feel that while people started calling Atsu the Onryō after she killed the Snake, I believe The Onryō was born much earlier, the night of the Burning Tree. That’s sixteen years worth of pain and suffering, and it takes seeing a loved one going through the same thing she went through to finally put the Onryō to rest and live her life after the last of the six is killed.<br><br>Shadows…no depth at all. And the vengeance plot ends the way you’d expect: “Vengeance bad.”

  AC Shadows will always have a special place in my library — trash. Had to delete it to make a clean spot for Yotei on release day.

  Great analysis, breaks my heart that such a unique style of games and story in the original assassins creed games is now the most industry generic games

  Ghost of Tsushima’s side content is also fun. Something good about it is that it fits. It feels like it’s part of the world, not meant to add time.

  I think you nailed it. SP put their efforts and cares into their games. Their games have a historical track record of being good to great on the aspects of story and gameplay (Sly Cooper, Infamous, Ghost).

  People always say Ghost of Yotei ripped off AC Shadows, but everyone fails to mention that the story told is one of the most basic Japanese folk tales of all time. You can find countless Japanese stories that tell this same story.

  Something I love about Ghost of Yotei&apos;s side content is that all of it is so driven by wanting to tell good stories in the world. There are something like 30 bounties but each bounty has a little story attached to it, some really well written characters. It says something when I can&apos;t tell you much about the MAIN CHARACTERS of Shadows but I can tell you about random bounty targets in Yotei because they were so memorable and well written.

  I like how Yotei and Tsushima have mythic quests where you can unlock special abilities, like the lightning strike one, or the Storm Blade quest, where you get Jin&apos;s moveset
