I feel as though not enough people really appreciate and truly understand what a fantastic and legendary Bassist Will Lee is.
Along with Paul Shaffer, the Rhythm Section of Will, Steve and Hiram Bullock on 'Late Night with David Letterman' was match made in heaven - The World's Most Dangerous Band #WMDB

Him and Gadd always had the deeeeeepest groove ... so much more than the otherwise superb Weckls, Colaiutas, etc. ... very visceral, the whole body oscialting around the hands ... glad that this kind of pocket playing is back in the hands of folks like Nate Smith, Questlove. Omar Hakim another legend on this level.

I used to watch Letterman in the 80’s just to catch a shot of Steve and his ridiculously tuned up snare.

In my opinion, the groove lives or dies on the drums. Steve Jordan is the beating heart that gives any groove life. Goddamn!
