My first bike was a 1982 DT50MX in Blue. Was dog slow until I took the restrictor out of the down pipe and stuck a 13 tooth sprocket on it, along with a file to the exhaust port, opening up the reed block and raising the compression by going to two barrel gaskets and no head gasket using blue hylomar instead. Adding a generic power pipe type rear exhaust and I'd leave all the local fizzies for dead. Happy 16 year old days :-)

Very impressed on how you saved that gas tank. I thought for sure you`d throw it away and get another one after showing the pin holes but I guess I underestimated your skills.

Wow. Great work and thanks for sharing. I had one of these at 16 yrs old. I wish i could remember year of bike but it would have been 81 or 82 in red and white as well. Fantastic video my friend that brought back some nice memories for me. You're a skilled man.
