In this video, I'm shooting my 20" Barrett M107 .50 BMG with the Barrett QDL Suppressor at 1,000 yards to see how effective I can be. I also shoot a 5 round group at 100 yards using Hornady 750 grain A-MAX rounds to get an idea of the rifle's accuracy. This video was really made for fun so I hope y'all enjoy! If y'all would like a more detailed report of there Barrett M82's accuracy (with a 29" barrel) check out that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aROCiXC6k2Q&t=54s

Waiting on my Barrett suppressor to ship. Shipper is trying to jump through NFA hoops (Form 3 transfer). Maybe by the time I get it at my FFL, I won’t need to Form 4 it (HPA passed/signed). Fingers crossed.

50 bmg has been a fun cartridge to reload. I have a M99 with a 32 inch barrel. I have been able to hand load M33 ball to shoot a tight group and it is coming out at 2850 FPS. 😳 it is an absolute beast!

The amax specs on the box are from a 32in barrel. My m107a1 29in with amax runs 1.5moa or better. Cheap ammo is around 3moa. Suppressed 50bmg at the range is always a blast!

When I was in the Marines, we shot a dumpster with a barrett m82 with roufus rounds. It blew the crap out of it. They're really easy to spot because they explode on impact. Very easy to get on target.

Bought a M107 thinking itd be a fun rifle to shoot ELR with, it wasn’t. Was fun but not accurate, traded it in for a AX50 ELR and so far been impressed. .873 moa 5-shot groups with CE 1002gr solids at 200m, at a 1km I’m getting just over 10.3 inches which is phenomenal imo. Been slowly going up to 2-2.5km and hoping to be training at 3km-3.25km in the near future.

When I was an army medic, I had the pleasure of shooting with our snipers multiple times. Ive shot the Barrett a few times and it was just okay on accuracy. We'd usually only shoot it out to a few hundred yards.

The recoil from prone wasn't bad really if you pushed your weight into the bipod. From a bench probably really threw you back lol.

Our guys mostly used the M24 in 300 win mag. That thing was incredible. I'm not even a good shooter and hitting silhouettes at 1000 wasn't much of a challenge. Mind you, they dialed the elevation and windage for me.. I was just pulling the trigger haha

I've got the Remington R2Mi, it is a lot more accurate than the M107, but we only took it out to 1200 at the Army Range.

On your 1k shoot. Your impacts were low, if you came up about .2-.3 I believe your hits would’ve been more precise and increased your hit rate on the good ammo

The 107/82 as you know, isn’t a precision rifle, but with good ammo, it is capable of 1-1.5 moa. Most times people shoot it just float the reticle because we used bigger targets for training. I’m not saying you did this, but many of the “accepted facts” are often due to people not understanding what its role was and how to use it.

During a demonstration, I placed an ipsc target at 1100 m and showed that if you run it right and aim precisely, the rifle can drive. Even with a 2 moa rifle at that distance, with a good wind call and good data, a man size target is within the capabilities of the system.

Then you get an inexperienced shooter that has “meh” data, doesn’t adjust properly or hold for wind, and you get misses.
People instantly blame the rifle (or any rifle for that matter) and ammo instead of looking introspectively and realize they were the weak link in the performance.

This rifle is absolutely terrifying, the damage it's doing and the range it's shooting at. Amazing.
