  An important spotlight someone just brought my attention to…<br><br>Rear end length, Simply put: Longer (at the end) makes it harder to manual and a bit harder to snap out of the gate. Shorter makes it easier to manual and easier to snap out of the gate. Height and body position is a huge factor as well

  I liked the crank arm analogy. I have a Redline 26 inch bmx that I bought out west then moved to Charlotte and the BMX track ( Hornets Nest ) didn&apos;t allow 26 in bikes. I was bummed but still have that bike. That&apos;s my all around cruiser bike. Older, in my 50s. First bmx was a Raleigh and a Robinson in the 80s.

  great advice mate, just started my 7 year old off in bmx towards the middle of last year here in australia and working out all the bmx stuff can be a bit overwhelming :D

  What about wheel base going on to a longer frame. Also secrets to set wheel base if chain is to loose/tight if you want a specific rear axel distance.
