  Hi Barry! I’m 36 and recently got back into BMX when my oldest son started racing Strider series. Your build on this video is sweet and it’s basically a modern version of my childhood bike. I’m straight up mid-school so I had a 1996 Schwinn Pro Modified (polished aluminum, obvious choice) and no money for another bike so we rode what we had and built bikes for race and trails. I was the weird kid in the 90’s that wanted a light bike, had racer style at the trails, and didn’t care about the skatepark. Thanks for bringing that vibe back! I really enjoy watching your videos. It’s been motivating me to get out on the track!

  Been thinking about building a 2007 Intense Pro-XL into a dirt jumper, thought I was crazy until I found this video - nice build and riding!

  Idk about you but personally, nothing more fun than a 20" on jeckyl and Hyde and omsp. One brake, 2 nuts, buncha trees. Nice bike fam can't wait to see the videos of you ripping it.

  Back inn the day people used to think I was crazy when I described that to them.. cuz I used to run a s&m race frame drilled out with 14mm axles and rode street with it.. loved tht thing

  Barry, lovely build!! Look like a hoot, hitting the park.<br><br>My current bike is an RSD Middlechild EnduroBMX. 27.5 x 3.0 tires, one speed automatic transmission (moderately geared cause mountain living) with 4 pot disc brakes. Preferred riding is natural terrain. 4130 frame is not your average iron bike, stiff as hell. The nice part is those 3.0&apos;s run at 12-15 psi &nbsp;for traction better than velcro. Annnnnd, I don&apos;t want to shake my teeth outta my face anymore!!!

  Your build looks super clean.<br><br>I&apos;m contemplating doing the opposite; taking my DJ bike racing.<br><br>I tried BMX for the first time last year with an old S&amp;M Freestyle frame, (Scary steep head tube,) and quickly realized I should upsize. So while a 26^ probably isn&apos;t gonna be competitive in Cruiser class, it should at least be less squirrelly than a 75 degree headtube and short front triangle midschool bike in 20&quot; class.

  I have an aluminum race frame with steel forks and bars in the stable. I always thought it was kind of a misfit but that&apos;s what bmx is about. I love your idea, a race frame that&apos;s retired from racing is 100% a dirt jumper
