  I'm a fellow Brit who has lived in Da Nang for 15 months. I'm glad you guys appreciate this wonderful city as much as I do - the people are generally very friendly, the weather is terrific (ironically I'm typing this as there's a huge thunderstorm and downpour happening), everything is cheap although I've noticed a very sharp rise in hotel prices but in saying that I'm paying less than 140 quid per MONTH for my hotel which I've been in for almost eight months. I will never return to England, Vietnam will be my home for the rest of my life (I'm 58).

  In america, coffee is something you grab on your way to work or your way to your weekend activity. In vietnam i like the fact that going to get coffee in vietnam is the main quest

  That taxi is Xanh SM and you can change it into English. Mine is in English as well. My favourite taxi, the drivers are very polite, new and clean cars, no smelling of petro like the usual taxi.

  After 3 years traveling, ending up completely blown away by Da Nang says a lot! Loved seeing the banh mi and pho reactions, plus that Son Tra Marina spot — it really does look like Santorini. The affordable haircut and massage combo is such a fun addition too.
