Totally agree with all the aggression in Australia, people donāt even want to start a conversation with you. Always rushing around to go nowhere, especially in Melbourne I lived in Thailand before and never once experienced road rage or any rudeness, riding a motorbike around I felt ok. The services are great and people never disrespect you Even with the language barrier in Thailand I got on fine. very respectful people the Thais and polite. You have to experience SEA yourself to understand the stress free lifestyle.

As a Vietnamese American living in the state for the last 45 years. I am very happy for you. Also happy to see my fellow human being can find a place to retire. Best wishes to you two.

I love this couple, very open mind, very honest with their thoughts and feelings about Da Nang. I live in north of Swan River, the couple's home is in Mandurah, south of the river. Perth is not a big city but is one of the best cities in the world - modern, quiet and clean. The people are very friendly too. I think the thing most expats love in VN is low cost of living. About freedom? Well, it depends! There are always concepts and opinions varying between the locals and foreigners, even between foreigners themselves. I was born in VN, living abroad for 36 years, am still working at the age of 72, choose not to retire yet, but when the time comes I will spend more time in Da Nang as this city has lots of things similar to Perth. Please send my regards to these lovely people, the real Aussies! I wish you all thebest, enjoy your retirement there.

What beautiful souls... God bless you both! Personally, I love Vietnam - An example of a Gov that works with its people to make life better for all, The hospital systems will soon be second to none - they are literally beginning to lead the world across every sector of health.

Well, I am living in QLD and own my home, no mortgage, have an average full time job and I am Ok. Well I eat always at home, cook for myself and take the food with me to work, use public transport for 0.50c to work (Brisbane) I do not need heating here, I do not use so often a car just twice a week when I need to go for shopping, drink coffee at home, invested in quality coffee machine, my mobile is on pay as you go, my internet is locked for 24 months same as electricity and gas. I do not have much expenses and I can even save pretty good amount monthly. Yes I am European, so we are used to live modest if needed. You can still live OK in Australia but you need to do many things by yourself at home and don't waste the money for useless things what you don't need! The best things are for free in life anyway!

All the best to you both. Australia can't give you that joy you're feeling over there any longer.

Great couple. They're right about the medical system in Oz. Staying in an apartment would make a world of difference there.
