I have learned after each mow, to just get the blower out and blow off deck, transaxle, and down the fan screen on top of the engine, to blow out any dirt-clippings trying to collect on the cooling fins on engine. Don't have to remove the shroud on the Kawasaki, just blowing through screen has kept fins clean. Nothing under there at all last time I took shroud off to inspect.

I remember when I got my old Simplicity a long time ago, the dealer cut a section of the pulley guard's side out, about 4 inches square as I recall. They said this would make blowing grass out from under the guard easier. My Kubota pulley guards have open square areas in the sides already, just like the dealer did with the Simplicity.

The armrest bracket screw, perhaps a couple drops of blue Loctite will keep them from working out. Must be some kind of threaded insert in the seat frame. I hope there is a metal insert. If they used a self-tapper going into wood, it may need to have an insert installed. Maybe some kind of lock washer on the screws if Loctite won't work, or both! If you leave the pulley guard off, a stick may slide up onto the deck and throw the belt off while you're mowing. Maybe you're not plagued with sticks like me. I strapped a bucket behind the seat and keep a grabber-stick-reachie-thing in it, so I can grab things on ground while mowing.
