  Oblivion was my first open world RPG and despite all it&apos;s goofy flaws, I have so much love and nostalgia for this game. Stepping out the sewers and looking across at the Elven ruins over the river, the imperial city behind you, mountains in the distance and knowing you can go anywhere. It was a moment in my life and not just a game. Skyrim was better as a game but nothing is as sweet as your first time

  I know my boyfriend LOVES this game with a passion. He played the original on Xbox 360 and he has played the remake so so many times. He has lost countless hours in the game with exploring and doing quests for hours. I believe that players should be loosely guided &nbsp;towards the quest marker and let the player explore on their own. The amount of times I&apos;ve heard my boyfriend be in the area to become grand champion rather than do the main story is something that I love to see in games. The main story can wait and not be rushed<br><br>Amazing video as always!!

  I&apos;m a Morrowboomer, but Oblivion has a special place in my heart, too.<br><br>I just wish TES5 Skyrim was more like Morrowind and Oblivion than, well, Skyrim.

  I know I have rose-tinted lenses as Oblivion was my first fantasy RPG and still my favourite, but I never thought of it as broken. I didn&apos;t care if characters moved while talking, and while some did look lumpy (Kalthar step forward) &nbsp;most didn&apos;t. Besides, the amount of detail in some clothing and accessories was stunning, like the 8 tiny gems around the edge of the Amulet of Kings. Even combat had depth with the amount of spells and weapons available. Use the Wabbajack right and you can kill Mehrunea Dagon and make him melt into a sea of orange jelly. I remember getting stuck on a rock once and having to reload as the game thought I was in mid-air, but looking back I see the developers spent so much time that even rocks in the environment were given variety. The remastered version showed how many glitches and bugs the original didn&apos;t have by comparison.

  After playing the remake so many years after playing this game as a kid, it&apos;s crazy how MASSIVE I thought the imperial city was back then. Felt endless. <br><br>I guess thats how all those big milestone games felt. It&apos;s wild looking at the map of GTA5 compared to the map of GTA3, but damn I felt like I could drive around that map for days back in 2001.

  I actually pre-ordered the game for the switch 2, real excited for it to come in. It was my first 360 game back in the day. Then when the remastered version came out i easily put 50 plus hours into it in just over a month. Looking forward to doing another play thru but this time in handheld mode 😊
