  Him playing better after coming out makes a ton of sense. The amount of energy and effort you spend to keep up appearances, once you stop doing that, you have so much more energy to just do so many other things

  Btw, if you felt like you weren't making a difference, you are. I am a gay immigrant in the US, originally from India. I just came out recently, and I have been heavily relying on substantial channels like this to educate my self more. You are amazing!

  When I was in my 20s (I’m now 61!) I was out and in a relationship, but very guarded at work. I think everyone knew, but it wasn’t talked about. Then a young guy joined our work team. He was a bit younger, and a keen amateur rugby player .. almost semi-pro. He was good looking, and fit (obviously). I felt nervous around him, afraid to give my admiration of him away, but he was amazingly unfazed by my being gay. The least homophobic person I ever met. He was always joshing with me, introduced me to his wife. invited me to his house for meals, took me to the gym (I was never a gym bunny). Just a really comfortable guy.

  Keegan Hirst is such a  handsome man.  He has it together.  He isn't afraid of his inner self.  He must be a great father and great partner in life.

  As a gay man who was bullied relentlessly in in school, mainly by the rugby boys, I have always been very aware of my personal bias against the sport and players of the sport. There is a type of resentment that I have subconsciously fostered over the years and for which I have felt very guilty (because the logical part of my mind always saw it as hypocritical and unfair), but I am extremely grateful for stumbling across this episode today. <br><br>I found this honest conversation so helpful in helping to address some of the conflicts I&apos;ve been facing. <br><br>This is a very healthy and helpful video to help me make sense of masculinity and how masculinity is mediated by sexuality. I appreciate this, and I thank both of you for producing and partaking in the conversation and putting it into the world for others to gain from your experiences and your honest exploration of these topics.

  As an older gay man, seeing younger men be so open and frank in sharing their thoughts and feelings about being gay is quite insightful, and comforting. Thank you both for your courage.
