Two extraordinary women chatting like they have known each other their entire lives. Being 50 plus is the most freeing time in our lives! Thanks Kate for this insightful and fun conversation.

I remember seeing Kate C in the late 80s at the Village Green. She was beyond cool, talented, funny and self depreciating. She is a living rock legend of the same ilk as Chrissy Amphlett and Renee Geyer. I hope she realises her value goes up with age cos they aren’t making them like that anymore. Kate L you look particularly gorgeous today.. Enjoyed this one.x

Oof - the part where she was talking about deciding to use a negative situation as fuel to fight back instead of wither. I needed to hear this today. <3

Oh wow I was going through my record collection the other day and I pulled out the 7” single vinyl of Dindi just sublime ❤ Kate Ceberano you probably won’t read this , however when you and I’m talking came out with trust me , I was like snap , here is a superstar it was the same feeling I had when I first saw Madonna’s burning up video , she’s like my cool fabulous big sister , we gays know the right Queens to share our love with , because you give us love and understanding. Thanks MOTHER for nurturing a bullied country kid , you both gave me strength to fight and stand up with my middle finger high, in mid 80’s that was very brave . ❤ always

Stock Aitken Waterman really stuffed up. I was a teenager in the 80s so I would have been their target market.
I didn't care what people looked like. I looked up to performers for all sorts of reasons.
They definitely didn't need to be pale skinned and blue eyed and blonde (even tho I'm blue eyed and pale skinned).
Like alot of young girls, I looked up to performers with unique fashion sense and confidence.
And I could tell who had a great singing voice and who didn't.
I would take Kate's talent over all that blonde, blue eyed stuff in a heart beat.
PS: I can't paint or knit but I want to come to that womens club and learn how!!!
