This song was from the movie, "Footloose". It was played at the time that Kevin bacon was playing the game of chicken on a John deere...lmao

This is just dipping their toe's into female raspy voices. Kim Carnes "Bette Davis Eyes" is a must.

"Total Eclipse of the Heart" is a must, and I'm sure I"m not the only one who will say so. "It's a Heartache" is a banger, as is "A Rockin' Good Way (To Mess Around and Fall in Love)." She also did a great duet with Todd Rundgren called "Loving You's a Dirty Job But Somebody's Got To Do It". P.S. Bonnie just celebrated her 70th birthday in June. She's still going.

Bonnie recovered from an illness where her doctor said she'd never sing again. (This was right after her "It's a Heartache" hit song.) This was part of her comeback (and triumph) almost 10 years later.

It’s funny that you mentioned “meat loaf” because Jim Steinman wrote most of meatloaf’s songs and wrote total eclipse of the heart and holding out for a hero. And Jim Steinman had a background in musical theatre. Very smart pick up.

He also wrote
Celine Dion - it’s all coming back to me
Air Supply - making love out of nothing at all
