Cutting food up in 1 inch squares controlling??? I’d say the same thing to ensure my baby doesn’t choke on food. When someone five my children grapes I tell them to cut them in half or in 1/4 depending on the age. I have seen people hand my baby grapes and I had to jump and grab them. They are a choking hazard. So yes, instructions on food preparation is important.
