Was there in early April over 10 years ago...water was quite cool for swimming. Stayed at Best Western which was on the beach on the gulf side not far from the Native Cafe and Red Fish Blue Fish which were fine places to eat and affordable. Went in mid September as well...a little worry about Hurricane season...but it was fine. Water was warm like a tub!!! No crowds. Warm days. Also drove to Destin and stopped at Fudpuckers. The people there (the people of the panhandle) were really nice as well...maybe wrote the book on Southern Hospitality!
