  I was blessed to live in Mammoth for 30 years. The lakes surrounded by the mountains are the most gorgeous I've ever hiked and fly fished. Unmatched!!

  I've visited many lakes in the US, Canada and Europe. Lake Tahoe has remained my favorite lake in the world, holding special family memories.

  The gray crags it shows in the Dunsmuir section of this video are actually Castle Crags, 6,000-foot spires of granite pushed up 160,000 million years ago, eroded and sculpted by a succession of ice ages.

  South Lake Tahoe for family summer trips. It’s been hard to go to any other lakes after the beauty around us in SLT!  Plus, there’s so much to do there and never boring!

  Been to clear lake twice. Smelled bad and water looked brackish, no way was I going to swim

  I worked in Lakeport for nearly two years. It's beautiful country, affordable, and the locals are extremely nice.  It's very hot in the summer... there is a hospital there with travelling employees that rent rooms, so reserve your spot early.

  I’ve been in Lake Arrowhead since 1980. I’ve watched it change and grow over the years. Nothing was as bad for it as Covid. Small mountain towns keep that small town mentality when people slowly integrate into them. Covid was just a flood of people who specifically couldn’t interact or meet the locals for at least a year. It’s the worst thing that could ever happen to a small town. Used to meet really cool people up for the weekend and now I just meet really excited couple couples from Orange County who can’t believe how good the flipping market is up here.
